About

Husband, father, Christian, game developer. Raised on TMNT, dinosaurs, The Legend of Zelda, JRPG’s, Lecrae, C.S. Lewis, and sweet tea.

I grew up in Lindale, Texas, which is a tiny place roughly between Dallas and Shreveport. There’s little entertainment to be found but I miss the Tex-Mex options and thunderstorms that shake the house. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Game Design from DigiPen Institute of Technology in Redmond, Washington, and have lived in the area ever since. I still keep my fridge stocked with sweet tea in the summer.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles taught me it takes a team to be successful. Paleontology was my first intellectual passion and career dream; Jurassic Park remains one of my favorite films. The Legend of Zelda convinced me video games are the greatest media and entertainment available today. I knew I wanted to make games for a living within ten minutes of playing Ocarina of Time and I’ve never looked back. C.S. Lewis introduced me to apologetics, my current intellectual passion.

I can be found on my gaming platforms as Kyerannosaur, including Guild Wars 2 occasionally. I mostly play single-player, story-driven games, because that’s where my interests lie. Super Smash Bros. is the primary exception. Below is a sample of some of my favorites.

Soli Deo gloria.
